The first part is the Mosque-Cathedral and lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. The starting point is the Puerta del Perdón and, before going in, the guide sets out the context of the Islamic period and how the building is understood in phases until it reached 22,400 m². Inside, you walk through the founding area of Abd al-Rahman I and the guide helps you read the architecture of the forest of columns, the double arches and the visual rhythm of the aisles. As you move on, the extensions of Abd al-Rahman II, Al-Hakam II and Almanzor are identified, and you reach the area of the mihrab, where the mosaic of Byzantine tesserae sent by the emperor Nikephoros Phokas is explained. The visit also covers the change of era after the Christian conquest and how the cathedral fits into the whole.

Next comes the walking stretch through the Jewish Quarter, lasting approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Here the route relies on stops such as Calleja de la Hoguera, Plaza del Cardenal Salazar, the Zoco and the area around Calle Judíos to understand the layout of narrow streets, the traditional paving and the life of the neighbourhood over the centuries. This stretch introduces the figure of Al-Gafequi and the craft tradition, and reaches the Synagogue, founded in 1315 by Isaac Moheb. In the square of Maimonides the context is completed with his biography as an intellectual figure born in Córdoba in 1135 and his life in exile.

Halfway through the tour there is a break of about 15 minutes to use the toilets and have a drink before entering the Alcázar.

The last part is the visit to the Alcázar of the Christian Monarchs, which lasts around 1 hour. Right at the entrance the guide comments on the 3rd-century Roman sarcophagus and places the site as a seat of power since Roman times. The guide sums up the evolution of the place, its Andalusi period and how it became established as a royal residence after the Christian conquest, with special attention to the stay of the Catholic Monarchs in Córdoba and the later period as the seat of the Inquisition. The visit ends inside the monument and you leave with the group.

Accessibility
The tour is partially accessible. The Alcázar has areas with stairs and not all of it can be visited in a wheelchair. In the Jewish Quarter, the cobbled paving can make walking uncomfortable. Pushchairs are allowed, although the route may be less comfortable in the Jewish Quarter and some areas of the Alcázar.
