The meeting point is Plaza del Potro, by the fountain, where your guide will be waiting with an orange umbrella. The square is one of the oldest corners of the historic centre, with a 16th-century fountain that gives it its name — a great place to start understanding how this city came to be.
From there the route heads down to the Roman Bridge, the crossing over the Guadalquivir that the Romans built over two thousand years ago and which remains one of the main gateways to the historic centre. First stop at Taberna del Río, where your guide explains the story behind the dish while you try it.
The route continues around the Alcazar of the Christian Monarchs until reaching Calleja del Salmorejo, one of the most distinctive streets in the centre. Here you'll find Taberna de la Luna, your second stop and second dish.
The third tasting is at Los Patios, right by the Mosque-Cathedral, one of the most important monuments of medieval architecture in Europe. The tour ends on the terrace of the Los Patios hotel, on Calle Cardenal Herrero, facing the Mosque, with dessert and views of the monument.
